Rooftop Ladder

All over New York, things happen that few people see: a spider crawling across the wall in a dance studio, seen by a student practicing on his own; a worker waiting alone at the top of a staircase, reading a book, waiting for an always-late boss with the key to be let inside; or a ladder on a rooftop left by a worker now gone.

You may think of these things as insignificant, and indeed they are, but they happen every day, nonetheless.

This photo is evidence.
